Texture Quality with jit.gl.model

Hello, I am wondering if there are some parameters to tweak or some other things to consider in order to get smooth textures with Max' jit.gl.model.
I have UV mapped a cube in blender with a texture that contains only text on a transparent background.
Text size is sufficiently big to yield smooth results in Blender (see screenshots).
If I export the model to a Colada dae-file and import this into Max 7.4.3 just using the patch from the Max help file of jit.gl.model the result looks like the texture is downsampled and appears jagged.
The screenshots show the results from Blender and Max. In both cases the windows were adjusted to maximum screen size. Slight differences in the orientation do not change the result. Blender always showed a much smoother result than Max.

Nice result in Blender's normal object mode. UV mapped texture on Blender's default cube.

Same cube zoomed out.

Texture file 1024x1024 pixel, white text on alpha transparent background.

Export to Collada file in Blender for further use in Max.

Test in Max 7.4.3 using the jit.gl.model help file with an additional camera object to zoom in and out.

Result in Max 7.4.3 the texture seems to be of lower resolution compared to Blender. Jags are clearly visible.

Camera z-Position increased in Max. The texture seems to be of lower resolution compared to Blender. Jags are clearly visible.
