The future of playback in jitter. (jit.qt.movie, jit.BC.QTKit, AVFoundation?)
hey all. i'm looking at high resolution video playback in jitter. i'm well aware of vade's optimization patches from a long time ago, and also the jit.BC.QTKit project. i'm running into the same problem brian chasalow ran into with framerates. i'm hoping to stay within the max world for a number of projects that will require HD output without having to change environments. all that said. is anyone out there currently working on some sort of AVFoundation to jitter texture magic? this sort of thing seems to be the route to go, or does anyone have a better pulse on whats going on there? my apologies if i've missed a survey of this topic already, i didn't see one.

bump?
this will not be what you are looking for but i do get quite smooth highdef video playback by reading jxf-file-sequences. only drawback: since it's uncompressed, you do need really fast and large harddrives...
