Windows 8.1, Ableton Live 9.1.7, Max 7.0.1

Can't get Max 7 to open its editor from Live.

Just bought Ableton Live 9 suite after being a Max user for a long time. So, I have both Max 6.1.9 and 7.0.1 installed, but first time Live install, and Live newb. I did not install Max from the Ableton website....

Followed directions in the c74 video to change Preferences>Max Application to the Max 7 folder.

In a new Live Set Add a Max for Live Device, and try to open the Max device editor and get:

"The Max Function "EditWithPreview" returned with error -1: Internal error"

When I try Max 6.1.9 the Max 6.1.9 Editor opens

This is usually down to the fact the Max is set to run as admin and Live isn't - therefore it can't launch the editor - check your setting for both programs and make sure they are the same....
