tl objects not loading in max 4.6.3
Hello, has anyone had a problem with not being able to load the tl objects in max 4.6.3 on a Powerbook G4 in Tiger I am interested in using his crossover objects- tl.butterhp~, tl.butterlp, tl.crossover4~ and the like but I keep getting a frag load error. I've tried installing the objects from Mr. lossius's site (http://www.bek.no/~lossius/download/) a couple of times with no luck. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Thank you,
nathan
Hi,
do you unzip using StuffIt Expander?

Hello,
Yes I was able to unzip and install the tl.objectts into the externals folder. I've not had any problems with installation of externals. Its just that for some of the objects an error message comes up in the max window saying cannot fragload tl.butterhp~, for example, or it will say "no such object". Meanwhhile the external is sitting in the Externals file path. I have installed it correctly in the in the applications/maxmsp4.6/cycling74/externals folder.
I'm also having the same problem with some of the xray.jit objects and cnmat externals as well.
I don't know whats wrong but with this version of max and using OS 10.4.10 I'm having more trouble than usual with third party externals. I have also lost access (via option-click in an unlocked patcher)to some help files for my cnmat externals. I will have to go through to the max-help folder if I want to view some of the help files for some objects.

It sounds like you might have updated to the universal binary version
of max but either don't have universal binary versions of the
externals, or since you are on a PPC computer (if I remember
correctly), the option to to load older non-universal externals
hasn't been turned on. I don't recall how you do the latter, but it
has been discussed on many occasions on the list...the answer is
somewhere in the forum if this is in fact your problem.
