A good book to learn C++?
It seems that i will have to learn C++. Can anyone recommend me a good book, for non-technical people, to learn the language? Something like learning processing by Daniel Shiffman would be great.
This is a good book by the developer himself: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0321543726/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1291139395&sr=8-1 also this site is amazing: http://cplusplus.com/
Best of luck
Also you could skip to learning Supercollider straight away
i'm a fan of 'Sam's Teach Yourself...' books:

i also love the site listed above. i'd add this one as a quick reference, too:
