I'm trying to figure out what in audio interrupt does...

I used to hear some strange clipping on my patch when changing presets, and I tinkered a little bit with the audio settings... Most of them I knew, but I did quite get what audio interrupt does.

So i turned it off and suddenly the clipping was removed... and I don't know the reason why...

So, I'm leaning into turning it off permanently, but I don't know if there is any downside...

The 'clipping' may actually be samples dropping as CPU tries to keep up. 'Overdrive' and 'In Audio Interrupt' are more easily explained together:

Overdrive kicks the event-scheduler into a high-priority thread(same as audio) while 'in audio interrupt' polls the event-scheduler exactly at the start of each vector of audio.

(changing vector-sizes to something larger can also produce similar less-CPU-taxing results)

The downside is less tighter sync between audio-thread and event-scheduler but you might not always need it.

btw, I guess I should digg more into the audio settings to *finally* have a proper understanding of the better values for me of I/O Vector Size and Signal Vectors size...
