ADSR Amps and filters

Jan 21 2009 | 1:29 am

This is my first post so please dont blame me if this is a topic that is often talked about or posted.

I wondered if some of you can tell me how to do the following things:

How can i use an ‘asdr’ object to create an amplitude envelope to use on an oscilltor (cycle~,phasor~ etc)?

Can i use an ‘asdr’ object to create a filter envelope for an oscillator ,if so how?

The help files for adsr confuse me greatly, i just wondered if some of you could give me some simple ways of creating these envelopes.

It would be great if you could post screan shots as well.

Copy and paste the objects in the adsr~ help file to another patcher. (never save changes to the help file!)
Delete scope~ (that graphy thing) and connect adsr~’s left output to a *~ object whose other input is your oscillator.

A filter envelope will be the same but different.

Even better in my opinion is look into [function] and [line~]
