Allpass Tremolo

I'm new to the wonderful world of Max and have been going through and making my basic Reaktor patches just to help me learn Max.

One of my favorite tricks in Reaktor is using an allpass filter to create a tremolo like effect. Basically having the single going in and out of phase with some short of LFO control. This creates a tremolo that has a very interesting depth :)

For some reason I haven't been able to pull this off in max yet. If anyone knows how to pull this off I would appreciate the help

you have to make your own allpass by using two copies of the [comb~] object.

there also might be third-party externals which you would typically search at maxobjects.com

Penny, what does that Reactor patch do, exactly? Why couldn't you implement it with the MSP allpass~ object?

Thanks for the replies! Yes I have been using the allpass~ object. But for some reason it doesn't have the same short of trem depth as my reactor patch. as in it wont go from 100% in phase to 100% out of phase nearly as smooth. Here is my max patch if you have a second to look at it and give feedback I would appreciate it.

The high end always gets a little swishy doing this so I use a crossover to only send the low end to the allpass filter.

I don't know how to inverse the dials yet in Max so the depth control is working backwards right now.

The wet/dry is interesting doing this because at %50 its really the phase trem effect and at %100 its a phase trem between the low and high frequencies.

Here's a couple of ways to invert the dials. Depending on what you are trying to do either method comes in handy.
