alternative to savebang in m4l?

Nov 17 2010 | 6:55 pm

I know about Jamoma. I’d prefer to stay away from any additional 3rd party externals. Also, I haven’t tested their ‘savebang’ object in m4l to see if it works correctly.

I need to update a js when a patch is saved. I’m duplicating the functionality of pattr for colls. However, I only want to poll the data when the patch is saved, not every time the contents of the coll change. Is their an API function or something that will notify me when a patch is saved?

I keep thinking that there is an obvious solution that I’m overlooking.

i think you mean when the patch is saved in a live project, not the patch itself. or am i wrong?

i was thinking yesterday if there was something like that (a savebang) some things might be easier, then i decided to rewrite my patch so the data is always updated if the coll changes.
sorry not an answer. hope someone can say more…

Yeah, that is what I meant….thanks for clarifying. Coffee hasn’t kicked in yet, apparently….
