always always topmost

Hello,

I want to have a patcher window that would always stay on top of everything, even outside of Max.
The message "topmost 1" to thispatcher is great; most of the applications go underneath my window, even when it's not selected.
But for some reason Pro Tools is stronger than my poor window, and as soon as I click on something in Pro Tools my Max window goes underneath.

I've tried to metro 500 → topmost 1 → thispatcher but it doesn't help. Also active → sel 0 → front → thispatcher doesn't help either.
Is there another trick?
I am using a Mac OS X 10.7.4 with Max 6.0.7
Thanks

maybe "float" your window ?

Thanks for your answer.
Sadly when I "float" the window, the topmost message doesn't even work. A simple click on the finder makes the window disappear.

Is there a Mac command to display a certain software on top?
A sort of cmd+option+H that I could emulate with something like aka.keyboard?

I wish there is a solution to this.
