Any tips for reducing cpu expense with pfft ?
I have made a couple of graphic eqs using the pfft objects but they are extraordinarily cpu hungry. They were fine on the mega quadcore supercomputer in the lab but when I get it on a normal computer it keeps pausing etc Any tips for reducing cpu usage ? So far I have tried reducing the vector size . I have 31 bands so theoretically I only need 31 bins ? How would I do this ? All I really want is a rough led readout for the energy in each frequency band to light up meter~ objects - I do not need to accurate audio processing at the moment . I'm quite new when it comes to pfft so any advice gratefully received,
cheers,
Gus
