I’m getting back into GL-jitterland, and am wondering if there’s a way to do a sort of ‘automatic’ auto_rotate with jit.gl.handle (or if there is a better way to do this in general). Basically, I want something to rotate about the vertical axis (Yaw), but without a click-drag.
A follow-up question would be whether or not there is a way to emulate the click-drag of the mouse with the new jitter physics objects.
1. yes, jit.anim.drive works a treat. wonderful!
2. when i click-drag on a jit.phys.body object in the jit.phys.picker help file, the object gets flung around in space. is there any way for me to create the same type of constraint of intersection on bodies without using the mouse?
check out the touch message to the phys.picker object, if you want to use screen-coords.
otherwise, you can use a jit.phys.point2point constraint, attach it to whatever body you want to affect, and drag the body with the phys.point2point’s position2 attribute.
