Avoiding two successive and fast impulses

January 18, 2013 | 12:43 am

Dear forum,

I receive impulses from a metronome (similar to click~, a short 1 and then 0).
For synchronization issues I need to reset my metronome from time to time. When I do so, my metronome outputs two impulses that are very near.
How do I do to avoid two successive impulses that are nearer than a certain amount of time?

I tried in Max with clocker, past and gate, but it sounds like the impulses are to fast for this, and it should be done in signal:

Is there a way to do this totally in signal?

If you were in the Max domain, delay would do nicely. I’ll have to think about the signal domain.

Thank you so much guys!
I need to work more in the signal domain, I always have Max domain reflexes.
And thanks Emmanuel for the gen~ examples, still a new and unknown world for me.
kindest regards
