Control Clip Transpose with M4L Lfo in Live

Interesting Person's icon

Hi,

how can I control clip properties (Transpose, Detune, Clip Volume ) with LFO module (which came with Live 9 Suite )? I only can assign LFO to Device parameters, but not to anything I need...

Thanks for letting me know.

One way would be to make a device that exposes the clip properties you are interested in modulating, and then use the LFO device to modulate them.

Transpose, detune, and clip gain are all properties listed in the Live Object Model (LOM), which is in the Max help system. The LOM is like the master list of everything in Live that Max can get its hands on.

If you don't know already, you'll need to learn how to use the LOM and how to navigate through Live's hierarchy in order to expose those parameters.

Arokhsar is correct. These properties can all be exposed by navigating through the API using the LOM (I love acronyms). I'm at work right now, otherwise i'd throw you a patch that I'd made just for this purpose. But it would behoove you to familiarize yourself with the process, if you want to do work like this in the future.

Thanks,

yes, for a long time I want to start learning M4L a bit deeper, rather than just use other's modules and it's a good reason and time for me to start.

Any usefull tutorials / videos on Max Midi Effects out there?

Hey did you ever figure this out? New to M4L, would love to learn but I'm mid-mix and this problem is disrupting my flow!

I am confident with MAX but generally like to work backwards... Any pointers with this issue?

Thanks!
