All depends on what you want to do. The link that mr_mapes posted above is a great app but only works via bluetooth giving you a limited range and, from my experience, it drops out easily.

There is also an app called TouchOSC that connects via wifi which I have found very reliable and has very little limitations (kinda like max itself).
