I'm a lot further on in to this now, but I noticed some odd behavior which got overlooked initially with this patch.

If you have the "loop" box unchecked playback extends past (outside) the selection area, and during non looping playback only the cursor stops when it reaches the end of the selection area, the actual audio carries on playing, obviously it should stop as the cursor does.

There's also some odd behavior whilst selecting which makes the cursor stick to the loop out point, releasing the mouse leaves the cursor at the end of the selection area, requiring an additional button press "reset" to bring the cursor to the front of the selection before playback can begin.

I'd be grateful if anyone has any ideas.
