I think I may have made a huge mistake, I want max 6 to work across the board. I currently have Max 5, Ableton live and did the $99 upgrade to Max for live several months ago.

Today, I bought the $249 Max + Gen upgrade. Will my current max for live still work with max 6?

Looks like I found the answer.. Yes, I did upgrade properly but Max for live may have incompatibilities.

Just got this from Cycling abouth this topic : "Just so you know, you can use Max 6 with Max for Live. You'll just need to point to the Max 6 folder in Live's preferences." That just means it works but as Ableton points out, there may be incompatibilities. Just keep both versions of max, give 6 a try and go back to 5 if it isn't ok all the way...

Did I properly upgrade? Max 5 with Max for live --> Max 6 with Max for live.
