dmx via lanbox to led par

May 03 2012 | 4:56 pm

hello all,

does anyone ever managed to control a tri color led projector (I’m using lightmaxx ledpar63) via a lanbox?

I use to control various dimmers but I can’t manage to do anything onto a led projector.

any help is much appreciated !

What does it say in the manual for it about DMX channel allocation? What channel does what?

I don’t have one of those lights but in my experience this sort of thing comes down to trying to figure out how they do things per channel

I’m hardly looking for the manual yes. but anyway if i send 255 to every channel nothing happens..

Here is a zip with some files I used to quickly test Lightmaxx fixtures with dmxusbpro (as I finally didn’t use the lights, all those patches are quite ugly). There are different PAR models, maybe one of those included will work for you ; the parameter is the dmx channel.

I think there are DIP switches on the PAR you need to set correcly to be in DMX mode and to set the channel (sorry, I don’t have the manuals anymore).

I’m a newbie working with projectors,I can’t file any doc about this projector.
so ther must be a problem with the dipswitches

Too bad I did’t keep a copy of the manuals (but I didn’t keep the PAR neither). You could try to contact MusicStore…

On a french speaking forum, I see that DIP switch 10 should be set to on to set the PAR into DMX mode. Then the switches starting from 1 are used to set the DMX channel. So 1 & 10 on should allow you to control the PAR on channel 1.

yep thanks that’s it.
for some reason I can’t send dmx to the lanbox via udpsend,
but it works in tcp with the nsock object.
