After a shallow attempt at using the methods in the header I’ve found it
doesn’t do what I want.
Here is an additional suggestion to the cycling’74 developers for a
change to the midiin external: group midi messages by type.
0x90, 0x40, 0x7F becomes 0x90 0x40 0x7F (ie. no commas)
0xC0, 0x02 becomes 0xC0 0x02
0xFF is still 0xFF
sysex could be optionally output a second outlet, in the previous
[midiin a @aslist 1 @sysex 1]… for backwards compatibility.
As I understand it, the Max environment already does a midi parse before
output of t_atoms into the user environment; two parse? that’s a
farce… … but what I’ve done.
