FCP to Jitter : Export keeping alpha channel info?

nycpntr@yahoo.com's icon

Hi there,
I am working on a project that involves lots of keying and video layers. Is there a way to export a video keeping the alpha channel info so that all keying can be done in FCP leaving Jitter more room for other stuff? Especially cause my project includes a rather large max/msp patch that will be controlling video playback. Already alot of CPU hogging going on as is.
Thanks for the help,
-Max

Hi
I think animation codec keeps alpha infos.

Animation, PNG, TIFF, Pixlet, or JPEG2000. If you have FCP 3, you could also use ProRes 4444.

I guess I'd recommend PNG over animation for filesize. It also supports 16 bit-depths (though this is not currently exposed in Jitter).
