I just sent an other bugreport and I would like to give a short feedback here:
1. After sending the report I didnt get a decent feedback that the report was saved. Since I reported another bug just a short while ago I remembered that I should have a close look at the response page once the report was sent. And indeed, I got this little message in the url – address field of the browser, but nowhere else. I think thats not enough. (I am using the latest Firefox). Ideal would be another check-page to be sure that everything was correctly stored.
2. I would like to know what happens with those reports, if they got acknowledged, confirmed, scheduled and solved. Since I develop a larger app with MaxMSP I need to know with which priority you address the issue and when you estimate to have it solved, since I need to decide if I should wait for a fix or try to find a workaround. And if a problem was solved, I would like to have direct feedback. I know I could read the release notes, but there should be a more convenient way.
3. Since there must be some reasons not to publish the bug-reporting lists for the public, it would be nice to have a view on those bugs I informed you about inside my personal profile: just an additional list in which the above suggested informations can be found.
I think you are making an fantastic program and your developers were very helpfull with my encountered problems, so please understand this request as an idea to make the experience for us outside-developers just enother notch better.
the closest thing to what you describe is the (not very actively i must say) crowdsourced following wiki page : http://cycling74.com/wiki/index.php?title=known_bugs
and yes, i do agree that more "transparency" on those matters would be really useful ! though it would take some of Max developper’s precious time maybe.
