Can you read it with QuickTime Player? If so, it should work in
Jitter. Also remember that since QuickTime 7.something, you have to
check the "Enable Flash" in the QuickTime control panel in System
Preferences.

there's another trick to import the ugly youtube/google.video .flv
files into any other app:
- open them with MPEG Streamclip (great freeware utility)
- save
it will save the flv without converting, but as a mov container
(quicktime will then read them with no trouble
and shows H.263 as codec format)

As a side note, I noticed Google is using a format aside from FLV called
google video, extension is "GV.." something. Youtube which I hadn't noticed
before does not provide for downloads.

Google "youtube download" and you'll find several sites that will give you a direct download link for any youtube video. Might be such a service for GV too -- I haven't checked.
