I’m just about to start work on developing some externals that will allow me to use 3Delight via the RenderMan API directly in Jitter. I’ll share them when they’re ready (including source so that people can use it to interface with other compliant renderers if they wish). I just wanted to check that nobody had already done such a thing. A Google search did not provide anything and neither did the Cycling74 forums.
They would offer basically the same kind of functionality as the built-in OpenGL objects but with additional options to take advantage of all the possibilities. Obviously it would not be intended for realtime use.
