Frequency Distribution

Hi friends !

I am looking into making a frequency distribution object which would then be applied to simple panning rules

example - sound -> seperated by frequency range -> predefined panning rules (the higher the frequency the further the pan)

I guess I could use a filter object , but is there another way in doing this .

I am sure this is real easy to do , but I have not yet had my coffee and my head is still in sleep mode !

All the best to you all ou there !!

You could do this in the Frequency Domain, ie inside a pfft~. I expect you'd get some very funky artifacts.

hi Pete and thanks for the suggestion ! will give a test drive.

Though are there any objects that would be able to give me a frequency analysis from an audio source and output as a list , then I guess it would just be a matter of unpacking/splitting and so on

Yes. Learning Max, or learning anything really, takes many, many questions.
They are not silly.
