After going to and leaving fullscreen, every now and them there are these unexpected visitors appearing. Also often there appears a narrow floating window at the bottom of the screen, as wide as the screen with nothing in it…
10.8.2 / 6.0.8
and here the image
yep, get them too sometimes
get them too when switching from fullscreen.
if you could provide a patch, your system specs, and specific steps to reproduce, it would be very helpful for us in tracking this down.
In my case there’s no pattern (that i can recognize at least). It’s been a while since I ‘ve seen ‘m though so maybe it ‘s not in the more recent versions anymore.
i get them too frequently on OSX 10.8.2 with Max 6.0.8. It seems that it only happens if i have a second monitor connected… I will try to observe in what cases they appear, since the "patch" where it happens is over 1MB…
Can’t be of much help in providing more background info or steps to reproduce. These windows just sometimes appear, but very often they don’t. I just built a standalone that produces them occasionally as well. Can’t really share a patch; it’s a huge project. From the point of view of graphics, I am making use of a JSUI to build a screen wide piano roll.
Especially i get the NXColorPickerWheel most of the time, if it happens. But more often I get a blank floating window at the bottom of my screen.
The window has the width of the entire width of my screen and the height of about 35 pixels. You can close this window unlike the other windows.
I can’t reproduce it if i want it, i think when it happens i always got attached and second monitor.
> i think when it happens i always got attached and second monitor
To me it also occurs without a second monitor.
This morning the first thing i got is the floating window,
may be it has something to do with show and hide the menubar / patcher fullscreen?
