June 26, 2013 | 12:35 am

anybody got some usable code for a simple peaklimiter in gen~?
i have been looking around quite a bit but what i found exceeds my coding capabilities.

that would be soo good.

You can try this sketch. It has some strange behavior … but it sounds good

Just an updated versions with some simplification in coding inside gen
The limiter still continues to behave like a limiter but a little wild … some good artifacts

Hi Aly,
..first o all thanxxx!!
I have tried both versions ,they work nicely regarding the release and they are "pumping" in the very best fashion..
but for what i am working on I need a "brickwall" limiter, limiting whatever to max 0. db
(its for a loopstation that writes the recorded loops to disk, that why i need 0. db max),
so the attack has to be more accurate..
I think as of now i understand your approach,I will try to get inside the code soon to see if its possible to make it "brickwall"

all the best,rbrt
