greenscreen effect

Apr 25 2008 | 9:39 pm

Hey I’m looking for a way to create a green screen effect in jitter (without having to use a green screen). Basically I need a way of doing what photo booth does on macs where it takes a shot of any background, puts its own picture on top of it allowing you to walk in front of the new background. You all know what I mean dont u…!? yeaaaahhh! i know about chormakey (which i guess could be used in some way) but have only been using jitter for a week so dont know much more than that.

cheers

if you know about chromakey, why not make an effort with that, post it here, and we’ll help you make it better.

yes, chromakey is the way to go.

eh..

have to substract the background from foreground

check jit.op with the minus operator then make a black and white mask fromn result

use that as an alpha matte

dont expect to get a clear mask….
