hey i am new to the forum and realise my question is most likely very basic. i am studying Max at university and am not very proficient at it yet, so i do apologise and please bear with me!
i have to build a instrument through max as a project. so far i am using additive synth in the form of cycle and phasor to generate tones and have a variety of effects and controls such as frequency and amplitude.
now what i want to do is map all these arguments to a microsoft sidewinder 2 to control the patch. i know that to do this i must use the hi object but i am unsure how to:
a) what all the buttons and sliders etc on the joystick are called so as to map them to arguments, and
b)how to then map them to certain arguments,bangs etc and:
c) any suggestions you might have :P
