How does everyone use techno~

Or not... as it may be. I've never quite worked out what it's good for, though I get the feeling it's quite powerful. Does anyone have any interesting examples?

The helpfile is interesting in itself ^^ more seriously, it looks very powerful and reliable, you might want to not use this without the technoui (in helpfile) and thanks to bring this to my attention cause last time i checked this i was overwhelmed by its apparent complexity :)

It looks good for synchronizing long sequences of things, but monophonic. The technoui might lack something to make sure you stay inside a temper, or a rythm grid. You could do all your timing, in a patcher, with techno~, i guess. And rate~ ? but it's not like rate~, it's more to be plugged at the output of a rate...
don't know how you can save/recall presets for the technoui though.

good question indeed... it's a signal driven step sequencer, but the UI doesn't show the steps explicitly enough maybe. There must be things to do between this and 2d.wave.

new to max/msp and this was just the object I was looking for, thanks!

it's quite interesting to use as a wavetable oscillator, or to modulate other oscillators at audio rates

There's a nice article on the wiki that uses techno~

I prefer the use here to that with technoui, seems more flexible even though technoui is more thorough. Still experimenting for now.
