How on earth do you learn Jitter?

So after getting comfortable with some of the basics of Max I find I need 2D storage for a patch and thought it was maybe time to learn a little Jitter.

I started the first tutorial and, lo, I have no idea what it does because the little box where you see the result says:

"View disabled in Editor: Jitter is not"

I understand that Jitter is somewhat hampered in Max for Live, presumably as an inducement to pony up for a full Max license, but when the tutorials can't be explored either you have to wonder if this was terribly well thought through.

Try using jit.cellblock for the 2d thing. It works in MaxMSP without Jitter.

I take it your MaxMSP Jitter demo period has ended? This is mostly how people decide whether or not they purchase Jitter. If you write to support and explain your situation, they can sort you out with a one time demo refresh.

Yes, I think I accidentally started Max one time after installing M4L when I didn't really know what was going on.

I'll email support and see what they can do, thanks for the suggestion.

I do think it would be in their interests though, to enable their own tutorials to avoid the blockade.

Keep in mind...Jitter is another process that runs low priority.
