I’ve been wanting to try Max for a while, when installing the demo (mac) I noticed it actually puts a lot of files quite deep in my OS which always makes me a bit nervous after having my system completely hosed when apps do that back when I used to use windows.
So I’ve been googling for the uninstall program before I actually try it and all the posts on here don’t seem to mention such a thing even existing? And people are just told to remove the /Applications/Max folder which just isn’t true because it litters files all over the place.
Judging from the file names this is all some sort of copy protection, which is understandable but if I uninstall the software why should that copy protection still be running in the background of my computer when I don’t have the product it’s meant to protect anymore. Which is what it looks like it will do seen as it’s messing with launchdaemons.
Just find it strange there isn’t an uninstall section in the FAQ like most software companies have.
ok, understand what you mean now…. never had any trouble myself, but have not wanted to install since trialling and purchasing :) Personally, I’m happy to put up with the necessary measures people need to protect themselves if it means more purchases means more development… of course, i’m not talking about dongles here which are pure evil… so a bit of software is a happy solution….
