Is it possible to connect canon 5d mark III to max msp/jitter f as a "webcam"
Hi everyone, I was wondering if its possible to connect to a canon 5d mark iii to use as a "webcam" for slitscan photography? This is a current patch I have that uses a macbook webcam to do this. I do have the Canon EoS utility installed and it is possible to use live view from the laptop but is this possible through jitter?
The current slitscan patch I'm using is

If you are in Max 6, try working with the patch at the bottom of this thread:

You can port a live feed from your 5d through Syphon using this app:

Just tried v002-Camera-Live. Works a charm with the 600D. Uses Syphon so OSX only.
Do we have options for Windows? Got a client with a preference for PC. I don't necessarily need live video. Automatic importing of single shots as they are taken is fine too (stop-motion animation tool).
The closest I could find so far is using Canon's EOS Utility to save shots to a designated folder on the PC, watch that folder from Max and import new images as they appear. Is there anything more streamlined out there?
Looks like this app does it: http://extrawebcam.com/
Makes live view feed available as a cam source in Max.
