apologies for the cross-post, not sure if this is a jitter development or general jitter question at this point.

we're using a unibrain camera, their "industrial" board camera (XGA), and have to use a third-party driver. i'm using an IOXperts driver, and it's working well (though it was a pain to get working in the first place).

unfortunately, jit.qt.grab does not support communication with this IOXperts driver, so we currently have to manually set driver settings every time the patcher is opened by opening the driver window and moving the sliders. this is for a museum installation, and is not an acceptable solution.

and contacted the authors, but they had no luck. we're currently trying to implement some of what was mentioned there, in particular communicating with IOXperts' driver via their API:

but we're up against a wall without the source for jit.qt.grab, which is not included in the Jitter SDK.

is it possible to get the source for jit.qt.grab, to hack in support for the IOXperts driver?

or, is there an alternate way to address this problem, either via external development or from within jitter?
