Has anyone used a bunch of live.gain’s in a openGL framerate (qmetro) driven Max patch (not M4L)?
My project’s audio mixer (top level) patch has 6 4-channel live.gain’s. There’s 3 more in my synth (top level) patches. I noticed that when a particular one in the mixer patch is receiving input and routing it to the master live.gain my framerate drops from 50 to 40 fps. Replacing it by a non-GUI object (CNMAT’s multigain) restored it.
I tried setting the live.gain to update only every 100ms but that didn’t help.
Is this expected?
(It’s gonna be a while till I find time to make a slimmed down demo patch of it.)
