I am using Ableton Live Suite 9.6.1 and Max 7.2.2

My Ableton project consists of 30 instruments each with a number of clips. I have an M4L device on each channel that receives a bang from a control channel and if a bang is received, it advances the clip selection for that channel / instrument.

Every X seconds, a metro kicks out a bang on a control channel that checks for an incoming message. If a message is received it then parses it to a [sel] object and then kicks out a bang to the relevant channel / instrument.

The problem arises, every time the metro counts out - it causes a momentary blip / stutter / silence in the output of Ableton Suite which is noticeable. Is there something I could do to either alleviate this issue or something that I could be doing wrong?

I also have an issue whereby every time I go to edit the M4L device, Ableton or Max quits ...
