I'm looking to make a map of an area, and then plot images onto the map that correspond to points of a data set that have long/lat coordinates. I'm doing this with jit.lcd to draw the map and place the images. Are there any tools for working out what pixel/pixels a given long/lat coordinate correlates to, or can anyone suggest a formula? I've tried plotting working out the coordinate range by comparing the image of the map against a google maps view of the same area, but the results are too imprecise.
