Hi all

Just a stupid question :

is it possible tu update Max 5.08 to 5.1 without MFL ?

thanx...

Sure it is. The "MFL" Max 5.1 is also the normal Max 5.1, so update away...

Just one comment... The dropfile object doesn't seem to work unless you unlock the patch.

Dropfile works fine for me in b9 on 10.4.11

I am not sure what the issue is then. Maybe because it is in a bpatcher? The specific patches that i have an issue with are mlr pathces. Just download any mlr version from monome.org and none of the drop files work with the beta. All you have to do is try and drag a sample over to the dropfile and it shows that you cannot drop it. It only works when you open the bpatcher for the file list and then unlock the filedrop object and drag the sample onto it.

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

It works in a bpatcher here too

hmmmm.... Maybe i should take a look at their code. I am note sure why the dropfile in mlr doesn't work. It's in all variations of mlr.

Thanks Andrew...

i was about asking how to revert to max 5.08, because i get these expiration warnings for next tuesday.

then i saw this. but am i right that 5.1 is a payed upgrade?

if so, how do i revert to 5.08 then? just install over the public beta?

thanks

It's a free upgrade for Max 5 owners and we're releasing on Monday.

If you want to clean out Max, just delete the folder in /Applications
