I've tried a project created on max/msp 4.5 on the demo version of max/msp 5 but the application would quit unexpectedly on occasions like checking DSP or starting dac. is this related to the change from older to newer version? or maybe changing from mac pro to macbook pro? don't have access to mac pro anymore to verify.

Personnaly, I've had problems using 4.6 patches in Max 5 when there were visual elements in the old patch, like LCD or scope~, even bpatchers or number boxes.

In fact, I think there could be a lot a things that can make it crashes, but I don't think it would be the switch from Mac Pro to MacBook Pro.

Maybe you could post your patch on the forum...
