Max 7 Backwards Compatible?
In January, I will be using Max for our introductory programming course in the Digital Humanities at Western University in Canada. This will be the third year that I teach the course, and the enrollment has grown rapidly from 17 students to 50 last year and now about 100. Here are last year's syllabus and code examples
Given the timing of the Max 7 release, and the fact that I really won't have time to update all of my teaching materials, I am hoping that Max 7 will be backwards compatible with 6. If not, will it be possible for students to get licenses for Max 6 in January?
We've always made the greatest of efforts to make sure that your files from previous versions of Max will open without issue. Things might look a little different here and there, but Max 7 will be fine with your Max 6 materials.
