Max is crashing on me, and I can't figure out what the problem is...

I ran disk utility from the startup disk and repaired my permissions 

and the disk itself, as there were some errors. Max, however, still

This looks to be the problem. Try removing the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/

DVCPROHDAudio.plugin plugin and see what happens

This looks to be the problem.  Try removing the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/
DVCPROHDAudio.plugin plugin and see what happens
