MaxMSP 4.5.6 and leopard

Jun 30 2008 | 6:39 pm

Hey guys

This isn’t a really huge huge issue that isn’t controllable, but nontheless it’s an issue.

On MaxMSP, I can start the DAC output, but only once. It’s as if MaxMSP doesnt shut down the DAC output properly.

It works once I restart Max. It’s just a slight nuisance, but then I am on Leopard, and I know most people are on Max 5, but as it’s for assessment most people aren’t on Max 5 yet.

Any chance you’re using the demo? I think that the demo only allows
one MSP activation per launch.

Max/MSP 4.x isn’t officially supported on Leopard, but most people are running Max/MSP 4.6.3 on Leopard just fine. You definitely don’t want to be using 4.5.6, especially if you have an intel-based mac computer.

You can download Max/MSP 4.6.3 here:

Also, it sounds like you are not authorized for MSP. Drop a note to support at cycling74 dot com and we will get you straightened out.

Nope, I am using a fully authorised program

I am an educational user, and I am fully authorised or so max/msp tells me. I updated my Pace AP drivers, and that couldn’t be the problem.

It’s a real pain in the butt. Apart from that it’s learning the god darn thing in time for august.

Thats what its supposed to be, but the pace has its own view, that’s why
you should straighten it out with support, they’ll probly give you a new
response. And the update to 4.6.3 is free, go for it, its worth it…
