Metro/Button Triggering
Hello folks,
Just been playing around with MAX, and my usual "Hello World" project is to simulate an old TV showing white noise.
Now, I have it 'working' using Uzi and the help of the Jitter tutorials, but a strange thing is happening when I attempt to trigger buttons from Metro.
I want to trigger a new instance every 1000ms, but even though the metro appears to be working and triggering, my output screen doesn't update. Although, if I trigger the (red) button manually, it works fine... You may have to see it for yourselves.
I appreciate that this isn't a very involved patch, but if there's a simple answer, I might learn something!
Thanks,
R
Thanks for that Nicolas,
Thought it might be a timing thing. Although it still isn't working for me (OSX 10.6.8, MAX 6.0.4).
Anyhow, learnt something new and will plough on.
Could you elaborate about using "only Jitter objects". Have I mixed methods?

Thanks again Nicolas,
Think I have enough good info to get working on.
The only reason that I have have such an awkward patch is that I also like to simulate the horizontal scanning of an old cathode ray tube. Sometimes there are nice effects: http://trisound.clockworks.ie/
Anyhow, your time has been much appreciated,
Regards...
