Mira request: umenu!
This really looks good and I hope it will compensate for all the difficulties involved with combining max and lemur on iPad (package losses!!!). But I really need a umenu type of object for my purposes (which is there on the lemur). If you could implement that, I will gladly pay the 50 bugs for it!
I hope this is something others need, too!
Oh, and why is the app 45€, while it is $50 in the US app store. I really hate that kind of rip off! $50 are 38€ and 33 cents. It is not the case that Apple would pay any taxes in Germany. At least, I always get a bill from ireland without any taxes to deduct ...
I start hating this company (Apple) more and more ...
Really sorry, to put that up in this great community hosted by a great company (cycling74), but I had to articulate my frustration with this kind of BS!
It's not a rip off. the difference is created by VAT (in Germany callled Mehrwertsteuer). it approx 20% in europe and rising :)
It would be nice if it had the date/time type rolling selection interface.
Yes! But I can deduct VAT, which is 19% in Germany. However, with Apple I never get a bill with VAT declared, what is actually illegal. Only, Nobody seems to care, because is such a mighty company ...
I just hate Apple for this (amongst other things) ... has nothing to do with cycling74, so back to the original topic. Nice to see, that someone else wants umenu as well! I hope, more people will join.
@Friflo I have never asked for a VAT-deductable invoice from the Apple Store, however (at least in Hungary, according to what others told me), you can get such an invoice if you explicitly ask for it from Apple Hungary. I was also told that, although the invoice itself arrives indeed from an address in Ireland, it contains a valid Hungarian tax number (the one of Apple Hungary) to which your accountant can refer to when deducing/claiming VAT. Did you check the relevant web page of the Apple Store? http://store.apple.com/de/help/payments (siehe Absatz "MwSt. & Rechnung").
Viele Grüße,
Ádám
Yeah, you have to request the invoice with VAT each time... well that is if you have the time for it ;-)
Hmmm.
This is a totally stupid drawn-on-a-beer-coaster solution using an invisible dial and the hover object [doesn't always work, for reasons I can't tell from staring at the beer-coaster], but it shows some promise for the near term, perhaps....
Yep umenu is quite a necessary addition...
Thanks @Gregory for your solution, much appreciated in the meantime!
Yeah, thanks Gregory. I bought Mira now, as I have seen your work around does offer a sollution for the start. Still hope to see a real umenu included and maybe. Regarding the VAT topic, I wrote them and eat their time, hoping others will do that, too. :-)
