mono record~ in a stereo buffer

Hi,

I just discovered an annoying behavior of [record~]. If you use
[record~ monobuf 2] (i.e. 2 audio inputs) to record in a mono buffer,
the 2 input channels connected to [record~ ] will be summed, and the
sound level adapted accordingly. I expected that only the first
channel would be recorded, at its original volume.

It's quite surprising because Max/MSP's objects are generally very
stupid and don't take any decisions by themselves (which is something
I highly appreciated so far).

Fortunately Thomas Grill's [xrecord~ ] works as I expect. But it may
be a good idea to be able to choose what [record~] do when the number
of channels doesn't match.
