palindrome loop not fluent

Hi All,

I am trying to build a videoloop-trigger based on serial input.
A part of the patch comprises of having the video loop in palindrome between two specified frames.
Now my problem is, it keeps jumping.
I am using a prores 422 .mov
Any idea's anyone?

Thanks!

Alex

I am working on a mac mini btw... I installed a trial of max on a friend's pc and the pc does not seem to have the palindrome issue, strangely enough..
would this be a quicktime 10 thing? I've installed quicktime 7 on the mac mini..

Could it actually be a disk speed problem? My friend's pc has an ssd...
His pc has an i4 chip.. How much of this is dependent on CPU?
Is there a way to minimize this besides lower video bitrate? Is there a way to choose a certain amount of frames for loadram message?
What would be a desirable bitrate for a 5700 rpm hd?
Thanks!

I have solved the problem by using a loadram message following two int's of the framerange I wanted palindrome looping.
Thanks,

Alex
