I am wondering how hard it would be for someone with no M4L or programming experience to create a sampler or modify the one in the link below to include the following:

1. Glide functions (including a portamento glide that is still active after a piano key has been released) or a pitch envelope function.

3. (Optional) Change the pitch knobs to be in semitones instead of random tones. This one isn't needed if it would be super complex to do though..

So I am either thinking someone could create a new device, modify this device, or create/modify something based of simpler/sampler since it has all the extra features I need - it just lacks the interface for chopping, repitching, and reversing each chop quickly.

If anyone who is an expert in M4L could quickly create or modify a device to do this I could paypal you some cash...

Or if anyone knows of a sampler or M4L device that can do this please let me know. I am very familiar with many different samplers(kontakt, iris, machfive, simpler, sampler) and the work flow for quickly chopping, reversing, and repitching things in this device is simply unbeatable..

Also - I forgot to mention it would need a pitch bend as well.

Bend is not easy with samplers. There was a max object added in Max 7 that claims to do it, but I dont trust it yet. Pitch shifting with convolution and without distortion is one thing, but variable pitch shifting is another order of magnitude difficult.
