Hi i am using pitch to try and locate frequencies on a piano. I want to locate three but the results are rather strange.when i play one note the result is fine but when I play more than one its strange. how does it read frequency when two or more notes are played together?

pitch~ does not support polyphonic pitch detection.

but in the help file it says it can extract between 1-3 there on object that can do polyphonic pitch detection?

There is an external called transcribe which does polyphonic pitch detection.
It’s performance depends greatly on the source material. I found
that a piano recording with the gain turned up pretty high can get
some decent results.

Give it a try…

ya il give it a try. im building a patch that I need to detect the notes I play live on a piano and thus depending on what it reads it will for example begin a delay.
