I’m fairly new to Max/MSP so I’d appreciate any advice.
I have built some synths in Max 5 that I’m hoping to use as a plugin in a sequencer like Logic Pro 8 or Digital Performer.
I’ve been following Darwin Grosse’s synth-building tutorial (#7 deals with plugins, but I haven’t been able to find the Plugmaker program he uses).
What’s the best way to go about this?
Does anyone have any advice or help?

The current version of Max 5 doesn’t support the building of plug-ins.
There is no timetable announced yet for that feature to re-appear.
aye, afraid that plug-ins (at this moment in time) will have to wait. Shame, but when it comes, it will be great. I’m in the queue waiting already.
On the other hand, what you could do is run your synth in Re-Wire mode.
Since building plugins is not available, re-wire mode is not too bad. But you will be recording it in audio and not midi.
But its better than getting kicked in the face.
I am currently running my synths and noise patches in re-wire mode. Its good if you want to get something down straight away in a ‘on-the-fly’ type of way.
Hope this helped
