Hi,

Sorry to bother with more poly-noob stuff...

This is supposed to be a basic 2 operator fm patch, but its not exactly behaving as it is supposed to.

What am I doing wrong?

save as dx100 (poly~)

you might want to send a target 0 message to the poly~

also your ADSR needs a 1 to trigger it

i'd think about packing your envelopes in an unpacking them in the subpatch

will have a look tomorrow

Thanks,

Well, the patch now actually sounds as it was intended, I dont know what was the problem, it sounded like the modulator was triggered only occasionally, but now it works.?

But before I start using this as a foundation for an advanced fm synth, it would be cool to know if there is anything I should change before I start.

Why do I need to specify a target message, when all the poly instances is going to act identically. Im not going to have different timbres for each key or something.

Cheers

Edit: One thing is wrong, when I set the modulator sustain to a big value (although I guess I should limit it to 1), the modulator get a long attack phase, it fades in slowly, even if the modulator adsr attack is set to 0
