printing timecode to text file

May 14 2009 | 9:58 pm

Hello – I am looking for a solution for outputting the timecode of a movie clip into a text file. I have used a metro object to bang the getduration and time into a text file, but it is not consistently printing the frame number into the text file every X number of frames.

I was thinking of having a bang out be sent using an internal keyframe marker embedded into the video clip as can be set in final cut pro every X number of frames. Is this possible? I have not been able to find any documentation about using keyframes in jitter.

Hi optein,

This won’t be difficult to do, but why don’t you supply a patch first, then someone here can help modify it, or lead you in the right direction.
